PLAN 22 seal auxiliary system is a mechanical seal flush plan defined under the API 682 standard. Its core feature is the addition of a strainer (Y-type strainer) in the flush piping, building upon PLAN 21. This plan is used to provide a single mechanical seal with a cooled and filtered flush fluid, in order to improve the seal's operating environment.
